Life is TOO Short!
I'm sitting here in my backyard playing with my daughter. Most of today was kind of tough mentally...just dealing with all the stuff pastors deal with.
But sitting here watching her play as a cool breeze blows, God reminded me yet again that life is too short to be stressed all the time. Too short to be consumed by what others say and do. Too short to walk in strife and unforgiveness. Too short to always be worried about something.
So today, I choose to rejoice in Him and keep my focus on Heaven. I choose to be happy.

I agree and yet as I talk to hurting people who have more reasons to be stressed then me, I wonder. I wonder if faced with some of the same circumstances if I would still be able to separate my faith from my reality and destiny here on earth. To me this life is somewhat of a charade. The real meaning of this (in my opinion) is to find and put all faith in Christ and His work. Once that is accomplished life becomes a never ending struggle to nurish the faith, maintain it, spread it and to keep it in focus amidst the drama that is promised.
I totally agree life is too short and we in faith have received such a great gift that far surpasses any physical thing or fleeting feeling we can secure on earth.
I pray the Lord's will in every and all things and so far that commitment has relieved me of a lot of pressure.
"Lord, help me to hold out!"

Don't you love how the little ones always seem to put it all back in perspective for us? You've gotta love how they keep us grounded, focused and properly prioritized without saying a word.

You're so right, Pastor! That reminds me of how my niece used to make me feel when I played with her sometimes. Sometimes we all just need to have some simple joy and laughter
