Pastor,

This simple blog definitely hits home. I have begun to read through the website, seeking your wonderful word! God has brought me through it, and continues to carry me on my journey, which began so long ago with you and Closer Walk. Thank you for all you taught me, your support, Donna's support and everyone else! I miss everyone there!!! For a while, I lost contact with my family there, and I so wish to reconnect. Anyone reading this - please feel free to email me at mjc1973@hotmail.com. I pray for all of you daily!

I agree and yet as I talk to hurting people who have more reasons to be stressed then me, I wonder. I wonder if faced with some of the same circumstances if I would still be able to separate my faith from my reality and destiny here on earth. To me this life is somewhat of a charade. The real meaning of this (in my opinion) is to find and put all faith in Christ and His work. Once that is accomplished life becomes a never ending struggle to nurish the faith, maintain it, spread it and to keep it in focus amidst the drama that is promised.

I totally agree life is too short and we in faith have received such a great gift that far surpasses any physical thing or fleeting feeling we can secure on earth.

I pray the Lord's will in every and all things and so far that commitment has relieved me of a lot of pressure.

"Lord, help me to hold out!"

Humbly submitted in Christ, our only Hope.

Praise God for you our shepherd who is not too timid to hit us with the often painful truth. These truth's are the carrot's that draw us like stubborn donkey's (I'm being kind) towards the rewarding goal of kingdom living. We have hope because we are continually being exposed to the truth. In my opinion, truth mixed with a heartfelt desire to please Christ will produce change. Real change at our individual levels can produce a powerful collective limitless revival.

Thank you Pastor.

Where's the "fluff"?!?! :-)
No fluff. All GRIT!
Powerful, yet simple.
Your message was full of gritty fiber. The Holy Spirit must help us to digest it. Even though it's not always pleasurable to the palate, fiber cleanses and prevents disease. Thanks for being "gritty".
